Today, an interesting public art project was unveiled at the courtyard of Chinese Cultural Centre:
The Great Terracotta Warrior Public Art Project by the BC Lions Society consists of 30 replicas of the famous warriors, each painted by a different BC artist. Do you folks remember the whales and bears dotting the city in the years past? Same idea here.
So where are these warriors being displayed? Ahh, that’s a secret (…if you don’t have a map already.) Why not pick a nice day to be out and see how many of them you can track down? We will start you off with this warrior, painted by James Tan, proudly standing guard at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. Now let’s see if you can find them all!
